Not yet perfected… in love. Those are the words that spring to mind when I think about my journey with God. The scripture (1 John 4:18) talks about how we are not to fear because perfect love drives out all fear. Personally I’m on a journey to learn to trust more and fear less but I’m not yet perfected in love.
So I wanted to start writing a blog to share my thoughts and ideas about life, kids, injustice, marriage, nature and mostly God and the bible and Jesus and probably all sorts of things. I’m a mum of 4, I’ve got 1 daughter on earth and 1 in heaven and 3 sons in the ages of 9 – 8 weeks old so I’m pretty busy with loose socks lying around and thinking about what to cook next. I love music, singing and most of all I love reading. Anything. I read all the time. But writing has been on my mind for a long time, actually already since I was a young girl. I used to write a lot but stopped doing it as I grew older due to fair of failure and busyness with other things, such as getting university degrees and then work and family life…
A little bit more then… I’m 36 years old now, feel like time is ticking away quickly and have been married for 12 years already. I’m from the Netherlands but now live in England as an expat wife. I hope you’ll join me on my journey to becoming all that I already am: beloved, forgiven and holy (which means to be set-apart, different). Now for living out of that identity!
This blog will be about my personal journey to find Love and Truth with capital letters, as in … find Jesus in my day to day life. It won’t be a theological blog, as I’m no theologian nor do I aspire to be one but I do have thoughts and so I’d like to share some with whoever is interested enough to stick around 😉 So do sign up to my blog and I’ll keep you posted!
